Board of Directors

NewVaConnects is managed by a Board of young professionals and an Advisory Committee made up of business and civic leaders from the community. All Board members are expected to help in raising awareness, funds, membership for the organization and making sure all of our members feel welcomed.

Executive Committee

Chair (Darren Eversole) – The Chair sets the overall direction for the organization based on the organization’s long term goals.

Vice Chair (Matt Huff) – The Vice Chair assists the Chair in achieving the organization’s overall goals, as well as, helping to facilitate meetings and events.

Secretary/Treasurer (Courtney Hungate) – The Secretary/Treasurer is an employee of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce and acts as a liaison between the Chamber and NewVaConnects.

Committee Chairs

Events (Erin Hildreth, Andy Ingram) – This committee is focused on planning and facilitating events in support of the NewVaConnects mission, as well as the annual fundraiser.

Marketing/PR (KyAnne Reeves, Jason Porter) – This committee is responsible for marketing and branding the organization and events, organizing and managing the website, and design and production of marketing materials.

Professional Development (Catherine Turner) – This committee is focused on presenting professional development topics of particular interest to members. These events are intended to provide an opportunity for young professionals to connect with business and civic leaders.
